Certain diseases such as idiopathic CNVM, central serous retinopathy(CSR), retinal vasculitis(including Eale's disease) can affect young adults. Since it can result in visual handicap to this working subset of our population, they need early diagnosis and treatment.

Diagnosis can be established by fundus fluorescein angiography, ocular coherence tomography scans(OCT) or ultrasonography.

Treatment can vary from laser photocoagulation and photodynamic therapy(PDT) to intravitreal injections. In certain cases, combination therapy is advised.
